Battle Royales are ‘the thing’ today, and all developers are jumping on the train to put there own game onto the stack. Personally, I have had a relatively short-term relationship with the genre.

BRs didn’t have that effect on me throughout the release of Fortnite and PUBG. That, of course, changed with the release of Call Of Duty Black Ops 4. Blackout gave me what I needed the most: fast-paced combat with tactical and reflex-based gameplay. Fortnite was just trash. PUBG relied too much on aim as a factor, which is not what BRs should try to achieve. Blackout was perfect- a tactical game with equal reliance on movement and game sense as on aiming and shooting.

However, as time passed by, I realized that Battle Royales were just not meant for me: I quickly found myself clicking on Multiplayer instead of Blackout on the start screen.

What about you? Do you find yourself in a similar situation? Or are you attracted to the genre? Let me know in the comments section below!
